River Raisin Brownfield Development
We worked with local and State agencies to come up with creative solutions for this Brownfield site in order to maximize the number of incentives available. Various examples of services AKT Peerless provided are listed below: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, Baseline Environmental Assessment, Due Care and Response Activities, Hazardous Material Survey, UST Removal Oversight, Demolition Oversight, and a Brownfield Redevelopment Plan.
RESULTS
In total, Brownfield and other financial incentives secured for this project totaled approximately $3.25M state, federal and local grants and loans. Due to the success of these activities, the River Raisin Battlefield site was listed under the National Park Service registry of sites and was a 2009 Brownfield Renewal Award winner.
